Junior Ranger Program

Park visitors can explore and learn all about Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park and become a Junior Ranger at the same time. Just stop at the Visitor Center pick up your copy of the Junior Ranger Activity Book. Learn about the Gold Rush that changed our state, our nation, and the world! Once you’ve completed the program, you can earn your Junior Ranger Patch. (Program booklet is free – the patch is $2)

While the Junior Ranger Book is available for download below, only children visiting the park can complete the requirements necessary to become a Junior Ranger. After completing the age appropriate requirements described on the first page of the booklet and reviewing their work with a park official at the visitor center, participants will become an official Junior Ranger.

If you would like your very own Junior Ranger patch, you may purchase one in the Marshall Gold Mercantile (you must complete the Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park Junior Ranger program to be eligible to purchase a patch).
