Thank You for your generosity! Your donations help to ensure that Coloma’s Gold Rush History is here to enrich lives now and for generations to come at Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park.

Since 1982 the Gold Discovery Park Association has been supporting the interpretation, conservation, and preservation of Gold Rush history here at Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we raise funds for the Park’s programs through the pursuit of grants, donations, events, and merchandise sales.

In recent years, all California Parks have been the recipients of drastic budget cuts. Because of this, there are fewer dollars for staff and maintenance, and rarely are there funds for Park improvements or new programming.

The Gold Discovery Park Association’s role is more vital than ever for improving the quality of educational and recreational experiences for visitors to Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park. All monies raised by the Gold Discovery Park Association stay right here at Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park – and are dedicated to its programs, historic structures, and artifacts.

Your donation is greatly needed and very much appreciated.
Thank you for your support!

The Gold Discovery Park Association is proud to be the cooperating association for Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park.

We are a private, non-profit corporation governed by a volunteer board of directors and a set of bylaws. We are funded through grants, memberships, donations, sales of merchandise and fundraising events. Your membership contribution directly supports the interpretation, education and volunteer programs at the park.

We sustain a variety of programs for children and adults, contribute to projects that preserve our historic buildings and help maintain park facilities. In doing so, we support the mission of the California Department of Parks and Recreation of providing top quality visitor experiences.

We operate the Gold Rush Mercantile inside the Gold Discovery Museum. We offer for sale a variety of educational and interpretive items, a fine selection of California and Gold Rush-era books, gifts, and toys.
